Over sixty years ago, Gordy and Harriet McDonald began a long and respected career in the restaurant and liquor business. In 1974, they moved the family business to their current location in south Minneapolis. Dad (Gordy) was well-known for having a smile for everyone who came through the door. More than sixty years later, their goals haven't changed. McDonald's is now run by sons Mark and Casey, who aim to continue their Dad's commitment to quality and excellent customer service to everyone who comes through the door!

The wine department has expanded to become one of the most renowned shops in the Twin Cities.

Every Friday and Saturday there are free in-store wine tasting events.
